

Coach Zach Morgan

Zach Morgan serves as the Head Cross Country and Head Girl’s Track & Field Coach at Rock Hill High School. He is the schools first ever head coach, and has spent the last 8 years coaching in various areas in Texas. During Rock Hill’s second season, Coach Morgan produced a set of boys and girls regional qualifying teams, and five state qualifiers. In Rock Hill’s inaugural season, Coach Morgan guided the boys team to it’s first state qualification along with two individual female qualifiers. Since the school first opened its doors in August of 2020, Rock Hill Cross Country has also produced 9 All District Athletes, 5 All Region Athletes, and 3 All State Athletes under Coach Morgan. The team has also had great success in the classroom with 27 athletes earning Academic All District Honors, and 16 earning Academic All State Honors.
Prior to teaching and coaching, Coach Morgan worked for adidas for three years as a running marketing representative for South Texas. Coach Morgan earned his bachelor’s degree in marketing from Dallas Baptist University, where he was a three time all conference cross country runner, and two time conference runner up in the 10,000 meters. His wife Melissa Morgan also teaches at Rock Hill.
